From Whence We Came
From talking to the older members and past masters of this great lodge, we can only go back as far as 1942; although the original charter was issued in 1923.
In 1942, as far as we know past masters Bro. Roy Hopkins and Bro. Robert Seibles were active at the time, with a very few members attending the meetings.
The original building was started in 1951, under the direction of past master Bro. Roy Hopkins and past master Bro. Robert Seibles. They were the contractor and sub-contractor. With an enrollment of approximately twenty-five members, meetings were held twice a month. The members moved into their new building approximately two years later in 1953 with a very small amount of dues to pay.
After several years a building fund was created, to raise funds for a new modern building. In 1971 a pledge of $100.00 per member was asked. Enrollment grew rapidly and the entire body was working on a new building fund. The land was purchased in 1974 and construction began in 1979. The Construction was completed in 1979 and we are today in this new and modern lodge hall.
